ERAPERMED Joint Transitional Call 2019 “Personalised Medicine: Multidisciplinary Research Towards Implementation”

FRRB is pleased to announce the opening of the ERAPERMED Joint Transitional Call 2019 "Personalized Medicine: Multidisciplinary Research Towards Implementation"

ERA PerMed is an ERA-Net project (GA 779282) co-funded by the European Commission entirely dedicated to Personalized Medicine (MP), supported by 32 different partners from 23 countries.

This Call, which will have a total budget of around 30 million euros (the largest ever launched in the ERA-NET context), is the second launched by the ERAPERMED consortium.

This call also fits into the context of Personalized Medicine, encouraging cooperation and coordination of research activities in this area, as well as supporting synergies between EU Member States and collaboration with non-member States.

The purpose of this Call, "Personalized Medicine: Multidisciplinary Research Towards Implementation", is to select projects of international consortia carrying out research and innovation activities, creating synergies between basic biomedical research, clinical research, bioinformatics, epidemiology, socio-economic research, as well as research on the impacts of personalized medicine in clinical practice and in society. The general objective is to improve the management of the disease, with better stratification of patients, better diagnostic and treatment protocols and support in disease prevention

FRRB, partner of the ERA-Net project, supports this call with an investment of 1.5 million euros for organizations in Lombardy (ASST, public and private IRCCS, research organizations, Universities) belonging to international partnerships participating in the Call.

An international Commission of experts will evaluate the projects and select the best proposals from a scientific point of view, showing concrete potential to expand the approaches to Personalized Medicine.

For this Call, Fondazione Regionale per la Ricerca Biomedica has allocated a total budget of Euro 1,500,000.00.
