TARGET: Taking a Reflexive approach to Gender Equality for institutional Transformation
Target (Taking a Reflexive approach to Gender Equality for institutional Transformation), funded by the European Union under the Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation programs, supports the advancement of gender equality in research and innovation by encouraging the adoption of a reflexive gender equality policy in seven Gender Equality Innovating Institutions in the Mediterranean basin – including research performing organisations; research funding organisations and a network of universities.
The adoption of a gender policy can be a quality indicator for research and development activities.
The purpose of Target is to promote an interactive and reflective process of gender policy at the institutional level, and to create common practices that lead all equality within the structures.
TARGET is focused on three main aspects:
- Analysis of gender disparities in the management of human resources;
- Analysis of gender inequality in decision-making process;
- Evaluation of the gender dimension in the content of Research and Innovation programs.
