Health data and digitalisation can support new ways to promote health, as well as to reshape healthcare systems, and ease the transition towards person-centred care models and to new integrated care structures.

Two events have been organised by FRRB in Milan to explore what role Regions can play in the governance of health data, which could be their potential and the risks that need to be assessed and mitigated. Many experts in the field have actively participated to the Conference and Workshop, held in May and September 2019 respectively, providing their inputs. These have been deeply elaborated in the KA1 Report – Big Data, Electronic Health Records and Health Governance, and recommendation to key stakeholders have been proposed.

The regions4PerMed report on Big data, electronic health records and health governance has been published and it is available here: https://www.regions4permed.eu/big-data/
