TRANSCAN 3 - JTC2021

FRRB is pleased to announce the launch of a new Joint Transnational Call (JTC) with the European Programme TRANSCAN -3

The new Project, "TRANSCAN-3: Sustained collaboration of national and regional programmes in cancer research" represents strong elements of continuity with the previous TRANSCAN programmes and has the goal of coordinating national and regional funding programmes for research in the area of translational cancer research.

The specific challenge is to promote a transnational collaborative approach between scientific teams in demanding areas of translational cancer research, to avoid the duplication of efforts by ensuring a more efficient use of available resources, and to produce significant results of higher quality and impact.

Along this line, the TRANSCAN-3 consortium launches its first Joint Transnational Call for research proposals (JTC 2021) co-funded by the European Commission on the following topic: "Next generation cancer immunotherapy: targeting the tumour microenvironment"

The Italian Ministry of Health (Ministero della Salute, IT-MoH) and the Italian National Institute of Health (Istituto Superiore di Sanità, ISS) will act as Joint Call Secretariat (JCS) to coordinate the application and selection process of JTC 2021. Email of the Joint Call Secretariat: JTC2021@transcan.eu

AIMS OF THE CALL:

Aim 1: Identification and validation of TME subclasses and their contribution to the resistance mechanisms: Translational research using tumour samples collected from retrospective and/or prospective cohorts of patients.

Aim 2: Identification and validation of TME subclasses and their contribution to the resistance mechanisms: Translational research using tumour samples collected from retrospective and/or prospective cohorts of patients.

All information and documents on the Call can be found on the Call website:www.transcan.eu/opencall

FRRB, partner of the TRANSCAN-3, has allocated a budget of 1.000.000,00 Euro to this call.

Pre-eligibility

According to internal procedures, Regional Foundation for Biomedical Research (FRRB) will grant an eligibility clearance to the potential applicants prior to the submission of the pre-proposals.

Pre-eligibility documents can be downloaded from the official project page and on this page, in the "Download documents" section.

FRRB provides an excel sheet to help applicants abide by FRRB funding rules.  This form is meant to support the PIs in the elaboration of the budget, but it does not need to be sent to FRRB.
